A domiciliary care provider for children, young people and adults with special needs

A Family's Best Friend is a domiciliary care provider for children, young people and adults with disabilities in and around the Lancaster and Morecambe area.

Our aim is to work with families to provide support that suits their needs. Whether this be at home, accessing the community or through implementing an ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) Home Program.

We are a private business and so no referrals are needed, just contact us via the website, Facebook or give us a call and we will start to discuss a package that suits you. You can use existing direct payment hours to access our team of trained and qualified employees or you can pay us privately for the hours you require.

We are registered with the CQC and we are rated GOOD. You can see the full report here.

Domiciliary Care

We aim to provide a Care Package that suits you and your family members needs. This may be either using your Direct Payment hours or through a private arrangement. There is a range of ways we can support you and services we can provide.

We will provide a flexible and highly trained small team of staff that we match with your family members needs.

Applied Behaviour Analysis

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) focuses on the principles that explain how learning takes place. Positive reinforcement is one such principle. When a behaviour is followed by some sort of reward (positive reinforcement), the behaviour is more likely to be repeated. Through decades of research, the field of ABA has developed many techniques for increasing useful behaviours and reducing those that may cause harm or interfere with learning.
